WHAT ARE SKILLS?
Skills are skills or competence competitions that constitute a valuable tool for promoting Vocational Training and a means of revitalising students, teachers and companies, as well as a platform for exchange and a forum for debate on the evolution of professional standards, quality and innovation in productive sectors.

EuskoSkills: The Basque Government's Vocational Training Department organises the EuskoSkills championship every two years (https://www.euskadi.eus/euskoskills-2020-es/), aimed at students enrolled in Basic, Intermediate and Higher Level Vocational Training Cycles, with an age limit. This championship also serves to select the people who will represent the Basque Country in the national SpainSkills competition. |

SpainSkills: The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training organises a national Vocational Training championship every two years (SpainSkills, https://spain-skills.es/) to select the Spanish competitors who represent Spain in European competitions (EuroSkills) and world competitions (WorldSkills). |

WorldSkills: WorldSkills International (https://worldskills.org/) and WorldSkills Europe (https://worldskillseurope.org/) are non-governmental non-profit associations whose main activity is organising biennial vocational training competitions. Both organisations bring together leading vocational training organisations, companies and professional associations from productive sectors across all productive sectors, with the aim of disseminating information on the evolution of professional skills and encouraging cultural exchange between competitors and experts around the world, as well as sharing knowledge. |
ORGANISATION
The IT teaching staff at C.I.F.P. Ciudad Jardín L.HI.I. has participated in the group of experts who have prepared the tests in all editions of EuskoSkills and in all categories in which a competitor from the school has participated, and in the panel that has evaluated them, in collaboration with staff from other schools:
• 08 Mobile app development (2023)
• 17 Web development (2012, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2023)
• 39 ICT Network systems administration (2018, 2021, 2023)
• 44 Visual merchandising (2023)
• 48 Industry 4.0 (2023)
• 53 Cloud Computing (2023)
• 54 Cybersecurity (2023)
In addition, C.I.F.P. Ciudad Jardín L.H.I.I. has been the coordinating centre for category 39 ICT Network Systems Administration since 2017 and for category 08 Mobile app development since 2022.
